On May 6, 2024 (the “Petition Date”), Steward Health Care system LLC and certain of its affiliates (collectively, “Steward” or the “Debtors”) filed voluntary petitions for relief under chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code (the “Bankruptcy Code”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (the “Bankruptcy Court”).
The Debtors, with the assistance of their advisors, are currently in the process of reviewing the Proofs of Claim, along with any supporting documentation, filed against the Debtors in the Chapter 11 Cases and reconciling them with the Debtors’ books and records to determine the validity of the Proofs of Claim.
